My hubby and I have this conversation from time to time:

Him: What did you buy?

Me: It was on sale!

Him: Did you need it?

Me: I can take it back. (But I rarely do.)

Is it really a sale, if I didn’t really need it?

I am lured by the SALE sign, and a CLEARANCE sign, is even worse!

Looks at this sign, it’s not even a real sale, five for $5, or regularly $1 each.

How much time, money and effort, do I waste on stuff I don’t really need?

For me…too much! Enough to make me Weary by Wednesday. Every. Wednesday!

I’m learning how to say no. It’s a hard word for me. But a necessary one.

I don’t need more stuff to own me.

I need more time to be about God’s business.

More time to spend with people.

Not more stuff to take care of.

“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:41-42

How about you? How’s it going with stuff?

Thanks for sharing your Wednesday with me.
