I love silly signs and t-shirts I find in touristy shops. Some of them describe my crazy life pretty well.
Take this one, “Life is too short to sort socks.”
I don’t care much for sorting socks, so I buy two packages of the most monotone, pre-matched socks I can at one time.
My hubby did not.
In fact, he bought two packages of socks last year, one gray and the other this blue gray. They are close, but apparently not the same.
I know this, not because I can see the difference, but because he can! And he finally understands I’m not going to get it.
So from time to time, I hear him mumbling about his unmatched socks.
It’s not that I don’t try, but sometimes I just can’t see the difference, and rather than becoming Weary by Wednesday, I think of this sign and move on.
Because, life is short.
Because, stressing and wasting time over little things like socks, isn’t going to make my life any longer or better.
How about you? What little things are you wasting time stressing about? Can you let go?
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:33-34
Life is too short to sort socks, I don’t need to stress the little stuff, or the big stuff, for that matter, when I seek His kingdom first.
Thanks for sharing your Wednesday with me. I’m praying you have a wonderful week!
