Happy New Year!

I’m not much on New Years resolutions probably because they usually fall to the wayside by January 15th, or earlier for me.

But I do need challenges and goals if I plan to grow.

Last year I read through my One Year Bible…the whole thing! There was that pot hole I fell into right after hurricane Irma, but I was able to get back on track and finish it all.

I’m not telling you this to brag, but hopefully to encourage you to set a lofty goal and go for it! If I can do it…anyone can!!!

This year I am challenging myself to memorize at least one verse from each book of the Bible. That will be 66 verses, and will help me tell the story of God’s love, forgiveness, and salvation. (Bonus…I will also memorize all the books of the Bible Too!)

Will you join me?

Each Monday I will post a memory verse (some weeks will have two verses to make all 66 books!) The photo for each blog will have the verse, so you can save to the lock screen on your phone. I like index cards for scripture memory, but I’m going to try some technology this year.

I’m going for a verse from each book of the Bible that I feel will tell the story in totality, and I’m trying to stear clear of verses I already know. Except for this week, it’s the beginning…and I have to start there.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. Genesis 1:1-2

I hope you will join me for as many verses as you can…this is definitely NOT an all or nothing year!

Join me on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook. I am also working on a set of 3×5 index cards to print out for each month. If you email me at jennifer@jenniferbaringer.com, I will get them out to you.

Thanks for stopping by, Happy New Year 2018!
